Renowned Nijmegen- and Berlin-based visual artist Seet van Hout is joining the Donders Institute this autumn as artist-in-residence. For six weeks, Seet will work on art that is inspired by, and depicts, the human nervous system and, especially, deals with human memory.
Expositions and talks will be held throughout this period. Everyone is invited to experience the point of contact between art and neuroscience.

Naomi de Haas has obtained one of NWO’s ‘Research Talent’ grants to study spatial and episodic memory in humans.
How come we can remember some things very well, while we often forget the rest? Christian Doeller, Sander Bosch and Silvy Collin set out to answer this question using fMRI neuroimaging for the Dutch television show “Katja’s Bodyscan”, starring television personality Katja Schuurman.
Students of the Arnhem International School (age 5-9) paid a visit to the Donders Institute. Here, the children experienced what you can learn about the brain with simple and fun experiments organized by our group. Such events bring the brain sciences closer to people and their lives.
